Express Installation

Extract the contents of the distributed archive file to a temporary location on your hard drive.
Navigate to the folder containing the extracted archive contents and run the Setup.exe file located in the root folder of the extracted contents.
The INSTALL CSENSE dialog opens.
Select Proficy CSense.
Click Start.
The Proficy CSense Setup dialog opens.
Click Next.
From the installation options, select Express install.
Click Next.
Select the location where you want the CSense application to be installed.
The default location is C:\Program Files\Proficy\Proficy CSense.
Click Next.
Select the location where you want the application cache to be saved.
The default location is C:\Proficy CSense Cache.

NOTE: Allow enough disk space for the cache data to be stored over a period.
Click Next.
Select the Windows account for CSense services.
- Local System Account- Select this option if the SQL Server is on the local machine.
- Custom account and Password- Select this option if the SQL Server is on a different machine, remotely.
Click Next.
Click Install.
The installation begins and the CSense Application and Data Servers, and Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Express are installed.

NOTE: The name of the managed instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Express that is installed together with CSense is called “CSENSE”.
Click Finish.
